Chocolate Chip Cookie Pop

choco chipcookie pop

Baking is my stress relief. It takes me away from my exams I have to study for, away from work, and away from the unnecessary things.

I’ve been baking a lot of the Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip cookies…the catch is that they’re on a STICK!

It’s called a Cookie Pop (idea came from cake pop). Any cookie recipe would be good, but sugar cookies or chocolate chip might work better. I made Inception cookie pops which had a mini oreo stuffed inside the chocolate chip cookies.  It was delicious!

Next time, I’ll practice my decorating skills to make these cookie pops really “pop”!

More baking adventures to come soon after my final exams are over! Wish me Luck!

Yields 12-15 cookies

  • 1 1/4 cup of whole wheat flour
  • 1/4-1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 stick butter (8 tablespoons)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cups chocolate chips, butterscotch or white chocolate chips
  • Dash of ground cinnamon
  • Popsicle sticks and/or lollipop sticks
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  2. Combine dry ingredients in separate bowl-flour, baking soda, salt, ground cinnamon; Whisk together
  3. Cream or blend sugar and butter together for 4-5 minutes with electric mixer
  4. Add egg and vanilla extract and mix well
  5. Slowly pour in dry ingredients while mixer is on low
  6. Stir in chocolate chips or other toppings
  7. Scoop up a spoonful of cookie dough and insert Popsicle lollipop sticks half way through dough. Lay cookie pops on cookie sheet/tray and bake for 7-9 minutes.
  8. Transfer onto plate or cooling rack to let cookies cool off.  Serve and Enjoy!
